Our Programs
We offer five different performance-based workshops for Tennessee students. Each workshop is six weeks long and culminates in a public performance for friends and family.

Film

Students will learn every aspect of filming a movie, by helping write an original short film and then fully producing it in the six week workshop. Students will not only act but learn about all aspects of film production, from creating the sets to operating the camera. At the end of the workshop, the film will be premiered at a showcase event where the public is invited. Students will receive a DVD of their film.

Singing

Each student will sing a song of his or her choice as well as participate in a group song. He or she will receive vocal training and learn about song performance technique. Students will get to record their solo songs in the classroom setting, and go to a professional studio to record the group song with a professional singer. At the end of the workshop, the singers will perform their songs for the public at a showcase event. Every student will receive a CD of his or her own song plus the group song.

Songwriting

Students will learn how to write and perform an original song. In the workshop they will be taught the basics of songwriting while working on original songs.  Students will also spend a class co-writing with one of the hit songwriters of Country Music.  Past songwriters have been Rafe Van Hoy and Don Henry. At the end of the workshop students will have the opportunity to perform their original songs for the public. Each student will also receive a demo of his or her song on CD.

Sketch Comedy

(Think "clean Saturday Night Live.") Each student will not only learn acting, improvisation, teamwork and comedic timing, but also how to write and film an original comedic scene. At the end of the six weeks the final scene will be shown to the public at a showcase event, and each participant will receive an edited version of the show on DVD.

Musical Theater

Students will work together to stage a "Broadway Revue" where they will perform songs from great musicals. This is a singing class that also combines aspects of acting and some dance.  At the end of the six week workshop the students will perform their musical for the public at a showcase event, and each student will receive a DVD of the performance.
